LANDLOK DEGRADABLE EROSION CONTROL BLANKETS (ECB) &
PERMANENT TURF REINFORCEMENT MATS (TRM)
Landlok® degradable erosion control blankets (ECBs) and permanent turf reinforcement mats (TRMs) promote revegetation, provide erosion protection and improve water quality on slopes and in channels. Our Landlok biodegradable erosion control blankets are made from straw and coconut (coir) fiber, and they are designed to protect seed and soil until vegetation is established in non-critical applications. Landlok TRMs, made from polypropylene, provide permanent erosion control solutions on slopes and in channels where desired performance exceeds the limits of natural vegetation.
The Landlok® family of products includes:
Degradable Blankets: SI's line of degradable erosion control blankets act as dimensionally stable, reinforced mulches to hold seeds and soil in place until vegetation is established. Our biodegradable ECBs are made from straw and coir fibers mechanically stitch-bonded to netting. Landlok natural and synthetic woven fiber blankets are utilized for slope stabilization and protection of streambanks and low flow channels.
Turf Reinforcement Mats: A flexible three-dimensional turf reinforcement system, TRMs enhance the natural ability of plants to protect soil from erosion and improve water quality. Used on slopes and in channels, TRMs help accelerate vegetative establishment and then anchor the mature plants to the soil.
Pyramat® High Performance TRM: Designed for the most demanding slope and storm water channel applications, Pyramat TRM has patented three-dimensional woven geotextile construction that provides slopes and channels with long-term strength, dimensional stability, durability, and functional longevity not available in other permanent or degradable erosion control solutions.
BioLog® coir fiber logs effectively buffer fluctuations in stream flow velocities while providing shoreline stabilization and planting mediums for vegetation.

GEO-RIDGE: LOW COST PORTABLE SEDIMENT CONTROL FOR ROAD DITCHES, CHANNELS, SLOPES AND CONSTRUCTION SITES
Geo-Ridge® - low cost portable sediment control for road ditches, channels, slopes and construction sites. Geo-Ridge® is a permeable plastic berm designed for erosion and sediment control. Through extensive testing, Geo-Ridge® has been proven to be an effective energy dissipater for storm water channels and ditches. When used with an appropriate erosion control blanket, Geo-Ridge® permeable berms effectively reduce water velocity and trap sediment. The resulting revegetation of the channel bed and filtering of upstream sediment reduces contamination of the downstream aquatic environment. As water flows through the Geo-Ridge® berm, its velocity and energy are reduced. As a result, silt and sediment are deposited upstream of the berm, further aiding velocity reduction and sediment removal.
